Amanda Tollemache elected to MotorSport New Zealand Board
MotorSport New Zealand’s Member Clubs have elected Amanda Tollemache, Hawkes Bay, to its Board, following the 78th Annual General Meeting held over the weekend. Tollemache will serve a three-year term.
Tollemache brings a wealth of experience and insight to the Board. Having previously worked at the organisation in various roles prior to 2020, she has a strong foundation in the organisation’s operations and governance.
In addition to her administrative expertise, she has been deeply involved with the Hawke’s Bay Car Club, helping run ClubSport and grassroot events alongside her experience with various international and national motorsport championships.
MotorSport New Zealand President Deborah Day welcomed Amanda’s appointment.
“Amanda has a long-standing connection to our sport and organisation, and we’re pleased to welcome her to the Board,” said Day.
“Her knowledge of both grassroots and elite motorsport in New Zealand makes her a valuable asset as we continue to drive the sport forward.”
Tollemache says she’s keen to use her experience to help increase participation of both competitors and officials in the sport.
“I’m really honoured to have been elected to the MotorSport NZ Board,” said Tollemache.
“I’d like to think I bring a lot of experience to the table in regards to how the sport operates at a high level but also at a grassroots level. I’m keen to get involved to help increase participation and work on how we not only retain our officials and competitors but also bring the next generation through.”
Amanda’s appointment strengthens MotorSport New Zealand’s commitment to ensuring a broad range of perspectives are represented at governance level, supporting the continued growth and sustainability of motorsport across the country.
